DSCR Rental Loans: Common Questions
What is a DSCR loan?
A DSCR (debt service coverage ratio) loan qualifies against the property's rental income rather than your personal income. The ratio is the gross monthly rent divided by the total monthly payment.
Do I need tax returns or W-2s?
No. Westlend's rental loans are underwritten on the property's income, so no tax returns or personal income verification are required.
What DSCR do I need to qualify?
Westlend prefers a DSCR of 1.0x or greater, meaning the rent at least covers the monthly payment. Every deal is still reviewed individually.
Can I close in an LLC?
Yes. Rental loans are available to individual and entity borrowers, including LLCs, LPs, and corporations.
